Russian Ambassador to Indonesia gave a lecture in the Malang State Islamic University Maulana Malik Ibrahim


H.E. Mr. Mikhail Y.Galuzin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Indonesia gave a lecture at the Malang State Islamic University of Indonesia Maulana Malik Ibrahim on March 23, 2013.
The Ambassador told about the basic principles of the Russian foreign policy and emphasized the intensification of the Russia’s participation in the integration processes in the Asia-Pacific region. He explained that Russia, which is an integral part of the Asia-Pacific region, will use this opportunity to stimulate socio-economic development of Siberia and the Far East of Russia, as well as to build relationships with the countries of the region, including Indonesia – the largest state in the Southeast Asia, a longtime friend and partner of Russia. The Ambassador said that among the absolute priorities of Russia in this direction is interaction with the Asia-Pacific countries in the sphere of trade, investment, active participation in the regional integration and the creation of the transparent, inclusive and equitable regional system of security and cooperation on a collective basis.
Among the 400 of participants there were also Russian students who came to study here from different regions of Russia – Tatarstan, Chechnya, Dagestan, etc. The Ambassador had a separate meeting with them, having listened attentively about their studies and living in Malang.
H.E. Mr. Mikhail Y.Galuzin also met with the leadership of the University and discussed the possibility of cooperation in the field of education.
