Ical told Anas to be careful

Former Democratic Party chairman Anas Urbaningrum said he was warned about President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's discontent with him by Golkar Party Chairman Aburizal ‘Ical’ Bakrie.
"About a year ago, I received a Blackberry message from Bang Ical telling me to be careful or I will end up like Anwar Ibrahim," Anas told The Jakarta Post on Tuesday night.
Anwar is a former Malaysian minister who jailed by former prime minister Mahathir Mohammad for sodomy.
"He [Aburizal] said 'You are the only one who thinks you are not doing anything wrong'. A couple of days later, I found out that Ical had met with SBY shortly before he sent me the message. I did not ask more but I knew what it meant," he added.
Aburizal’s spokesman Lalu Mara said that he had no knowledge of communication between his boss and Anas about Yudhoyono.
"It is normal for the Golkar chairman and the Democratic Party chairman to communicate as part of the government joint-secretariat but I have never heard of any warning being given by Bang Ical to Pak Anas," Lalu said. (dic)
