JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) - Elang Mahkota Teknologi (EMTK), parent company of SCTV and Indosiar TV stations, has closed the gap with Media Nusantara Citra (MNCN), parent of RCTI and Global TV, in market capitalization.
EMTK, controlled by Sariaatmadja family, surged as much as 8.5% Friday (Apr 12), but on thin trading volume. At Rp6400 per share, EMTK currently has market capitalization of Rp36.1 trillion.
MNCN, controlled by Harry Tanoesoedibjo, meanwhile, has market capitalization of Rp40.3 trillion, inches below Adaro Indonesia (Rp41.3 trillion).
EMTK's unit Surya Citra Media (SCMA) has just completed the merger with Indosiar, but SCTV and Indosiar will continue to operate independently.
None of major coal producers is listed on Top 20 Stocks by market cap as Indo Tambangraya Megah (ITMG) dropped to 21st below Jasa Marga (JSMR), the state-owned toll road developer and operator. United Tractor is now the remaining mining-related company in the Top 20. (Indonesia Today)
