DPD deputy speaker joins PAN

The National Mandate Party (PAN) has confirmed that deputy speaker of the Regional Representatives Council (DPD) La Ode Ida has joined the party.
Chairman of the PAN faction at the House of Representatives (DPR) Tjatur Sapto Edy said that the party would make an official announcement soon.
"God willing, that's correct," Tjatur said as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Tjatur said that PAN welcomed La Ode to the party and that he had proposed many solutions to the country's problems.
"He has so many ideas on what Indonesia should look like in the future and they are consistent with the vision of PAN," he said.
Tjatur also said that La Ode could help the party by bringing more votes from the eastern party of the country.
La Ode earlier confirmed that he had joined PAN.
I will make it official on Monday along with Pak Hatta," La Ode said over the weekend, referring to PAN chairman Hatta Rajasa. (The Jakarta Post, Jakarta | National | Mon, April 08 2013, 6:08 AM)
